“Dear Family and Friends,
Your heartfelt kindness and sympathy during this difficult time are appreciated more than any words can ever express. LaWana so graciously touched all of our lives in ways that only time and eternity can truly measure.
On the afternoon before LaWana passed from this world and into the waiting arms of Jesus, a group of friends from the church came and prayed with her. She in turn prayed mightily for all of her family and friends. The last words that were heard from her lips were simply, "Thank you". This was whispered quietly and with a sincere and gracious heart. In retrospect, I now believe that she was not only thanking her friends for coming that day, but that she was thanking you and everyone who has loved her, reached out to her, prayed and stood by her side throughout her trying journey.
Now we in turn pass on that same gratitude to you, our family and friends. Thank you so much for your outpouring of sympathy and kindness; your presence and your prayers; your generous monetary gifts. Thank you for your valuable time and service.
